In the first 3D televised hockey game ever, the Maple Leafs surprised everyone with a victory over division leading Montreal.
Red Wings 4-1 Devils
It was Brian Rafalski's first game back in New Jersey since signing as a free agent with the Red Wings back in 2007, but it had been so long that there was no hard feeling amongst fans. Pavel Datsyuk's goal and 2 assists helped the powerful Red Wings easily handle the woeful Devils.
Thrashers 5-4 Islanders
A late powerplay goal by the Islanders brought the game within reach but they were unable to tie the game in the final minute of regulation time. 18 year old rookie Alex Burmistrov had the game winning goal for Atlanta.
Avalanche 3-2 Capitals
After making a trade sending winger Tomas Fleishman to Colorado for defensman Scott Hannan the 2 teams faced off to see which side received the better end of the deal. Colorado surprised Washington with a 3-2 victory.
Blue Jackets 3-1 Rangers
Rick Nash had 2 goals to lead to victory in a rare contest against the New York Rangers.
Hurricanes 2-1 SO Blues
Jussi Jokinen scored the only goal in the shootout to help his Hurricanes tame Jarolsav Halak and the Blues.
Predators 3-0 Panthers
Rookie goalie Anders Lindback recorded his first NHL shutout against Florida to continue his remarkable first year.
Coyotes 5-2 Stars
Captain Shane Doan scored 2 goals in a winning cause for the Coyotes over their division rivals from Dallas.
Lightning 5-4 SO Canucks
Vancouver retired Markus Naslund's #19 in a pre game ceramony but the team on the ice could not pull out a victory against Steve Stampkos and Tampa Bay.
Wild 3-2 OT Kings
Brent Burns power play goal in overtime helped the Minnesota Wild beat the LA Kings.
Sharks 2-1 OT Blackhawks
Antti Niemi may have switched jerseys, but he still was able to win in a rematch of last years western final. Ryan Clowe's 2 goals were enough to win the game for San Jose.
